As usual we will be organising a coach to The Le Touquet 10K on Bank Holiday Saturday 23rd. August. The coach leaves Canterbury at about 7.00 in the morning and is back about 11.00pm.The race is a big event with over 1500 runners, I think it is so special this will be my 17th year on this P.B.
course!
The day will involve the usual stop at Auchan Hypermarket going, and drinks at Boulogne Old Town on the way back with plenty to do for non runners. Now the bad news, due to changes in driver hours we need 2 coach drivers and along with increased Ferry charges it will cost more to arrange. Harriers will be subsidising the trip so keeping the cost down to £30 for Harriers
£35 for other clubs, plus race entry( about £7 and we will register you in advance). We have a ferry booking for a 48 seater coach, if however we do not reach about 35 runners/family (no children) because of it being August holidays, we will be taking the 23 seater.Due to the popularity of the event it is first come first served, HALF THE SEATS ON THE 23 SEAT BASIS HAVE ALREADY GONE!
We are once again having a number of Thanet Roadrunners joining us, so please get your deposits for £15 in as soon as possible to guarantee your place on the 23 seater at least. For fairness and simplicity we do not collect names on a list, just the cheques payable to Canterbury Harriers.
