Event Details

We will be kicking off the evening at 5:30pm with a 1mile race (including a fun run). If you have entered a race later in the evening you are welcome to join in to encourage family and friends. Children under the age of eight years must be accompanied by an adult with their own ticket (for any distance)
At 6pm we'll be starting the 5k races, incorporating the Essex County Championships. The night will end with the Women's and Men's elite races. 
The timetable is as follows:

5:30pm - 1 mile - Race and Fun Run
6:00pm - 5km - All athletes over 20 mins
7:00pm - 5km - Male athletes 18-20 mins
7:30pm - 5km - Male athletes 16-18 mins
8:00pm - 5km - Women's elite (sub 20 mins)
8:30pm - 5km - Men's elite (sub 16 mins)

The Ideal Course for A Personal Best

With an anticlockwise, traffic free, tarmac course with no sharp bends, and a finish line at the end of the main straight, we are certain that it will be a great night of competitive racing and a whole bunch of proud new PB’s!
The closed road circuit is perfect for all standards, no matter whether you are chasing a lightening quick time, a beginner or a junior (minimum age requirements detailed below).

Elite Road 5k Racing

The Elite 5k Womens and Mens race make up the events grand-finale, (sub-20 women and sub-16 men) which we hope everyone will stay for and enjoy cheering on the athletes. 

Complimentary ELITE entries - any athletes who have achieved the following times (Men: sub-14:45 mins; Female: sub-17:15 mins) in the last two years (must be evidenced on Powerof10), please email events@activetrainingworld.co.uk for a FREE entry in the elite race.
