It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Russell Williams on Saturday after a short illness. Russell was a longstanding and respected member of the Harriers, a stalwart of our cross country and relay teams and one who was always willing to give of his time in helping out at club events and at the local park run.
He was an elite standard runner both as a senior and a vet but he was a quiet and modest man who rarely spoke of his impressive achievements during his running career. Our thoughts are with his wife Jo and family at this sad time.
